Today's Plan Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Today's Plan is a Chrome extension that opens as a side panel next to Google Calendar. Each morning it helps you name the one thing that matters most, sort the rest of your Google Tasks into a time matrix, schedule them into free slots on your calendar with one click, and focus on one task at a time with a timer. It is designed so that your data goes only to your own Google account. The developer operates no servers and receives none of your data.
What the extension accesses, and why
- Your Google Tasks: read to show your open tasks and to bring the ones due today into the panel automatically; written to only when you check a task off in the panel (it is marked completed in Google Tasks). Scope:
tasks.
- Your Google Calendar events for the current day: read to find free time and to keep the panel in sync when you move or delete a block in Google Calendar; written to only for the blocks you schedule from the panel (created, moved, resized, or removed by you). Blocks the panel creates are tagged with a private property so it never moves events it did not create. Scope:
calendar.events.
- Your email address: shown in Settings so you can see which account is connected. Scopes:
openid, userinfo.email.
Sign-in uses Google's official OAuth flow handled by Chrome. The extension never sees your password and holds no client secret.
Where your data goes
- Google APIs only (
tasks.googleapis.com, www.googleapis.com): every read and write goes directly from your browser to your own Google account.
- Nowhere else. No developer servers, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, no AI services.
What is stored on your device
- Your daily plan (which tasks you placed in which group, estimates, and links to the calendar blocks you scheduled) and your settings (working hours, default durations, group names, list colors, language) are stored in Chrome's local extension storage (
chrome.storage.local) on the computer where you use the extension.
- The Google authorization is held by Chrome itself, not by the extension.
- The extension keeps no history beyond the current day's plan and sends nothing anywhere except to Google on your behalf.
What we never do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
- We do not use your data for advertising or for any purpose other than the single feature described above.
- We do not collect analytics or telemetry of any kind.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Today's Plan's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access
You can sign out at any time from the extension's Settings, and additionally revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Uninstalling the extension removes its stored plan and settings.
